Drink responsibly
Responsibility comes before the toast.
For Neige Noire, telling the story of a gin also means speaking clearly about alcohol. Choosing not to drink is always a choice to be respected. There is no level of alcohol consumption that is free of health risks: drinking less reduces the risk, without eliminating it.
For adults only
In Italy, the sale and serving of alcoholic beverages to persons under 18 years of age are prohibited. Our products and the content of this site are intended exclusively for an adult audience. Do not purchase alcohol for minors and do not share our content with them. If you are in another country, please also comply with the age requirements set by local regulations.
If you drive, don't drink
Plan your trip home before you start drinking: choose a designated driver who will not consume alcohol, a taxi, or public transport. Alcohol can impair attention, reflexes, and judgment even before you feel drunk. Legal limits are not a personal safety threshold.
Avoid alcohol before and during activities that require attention or involve risks, such as operating machinery.
When to avoid alcohol
- Pregnancy and trying to conceive: do not drink alcohol. No safe amount for the unborn child has been established.
- Breastfeeding: avoid alcoholic beverages and consult your doctor for guidance.
- Medications or health conditions: alcohol can interfere with treatments. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you should abstain; do not stop a treatment in order to drink.
- Under 18s: no alcohol.
If you choose to drink
Reduce the quantity and frequency, avoid excesses and binge drinking. Do not drink on an empty stomach and keep water and non-alcoholic alternatives available. Eating or drinking water does not negate the effects of alcohol and does not make driving safe.
Do not drink to cope with anxiety, stress, or difficulties. Do not pressure someone else to drink: a moment together does not require alcohol.
Hosting with care
Always offer non-alcoholic alternatives and food, respect those who choose to abstain, and help guests organize a safe trip home. Do not serve alcohol to minors and do not encourage drinking games or risky behavior.
Get informed and ask for help
If alcohol consumption worries you or someone close to you, talk to your doctor or your local health authority (ASL) addiction services. The National Institute of Health’s Alcohol Helpline (Telefono Verde Alcol) offers listening, information, and guidance: 800 632000. Consult the ISS website for updated methods and hours.
