01 / An identity shaped by contrasts

White snow.
Black rock.
Neige Noire.

In the mountains, light and shadow share the same landscape. Their meeting gives us our name: black snow.

Neige Noire is a distilled gin that expresses its Aosta Valley roots. It brings together wild juniper, the freshness of glacialis mint and peppermint from Morgex, and the balsamic notes of pine buds. Wild blueberries contribute to its softness and distinctive color.

Its world begins here: with the places and people who shape the recipe.

02 / A landscape expressed through aroma

A forest in a glass.

Resin, the forest floor, the freshness of leaves. Our idea is to capture these sensations in a soft, balsamic gin with a distinct juniper character.

Juniper provides structure and a resinous character. Pine buds add green, balsamic notes: the first step into the forest.

03 / Our roots

The Aosta Valley,
in every choice.

Our connection to Mont Blanc lives in specific ingredients and in the people who know them. Behind each botanical are a place, a harvest and dedicated work.

Val Ferret blueberries

Our wild blueberries come from Val Ferret, at the foot of the Mont Blanc massif. They bring the character of the forest floor to the recipe and contribute to its distinctive black color.

The mint varieties of Morgex

Two mint varieties, one distinctive signature: glacialis mint and peppermint, grown around Morgex and supplied by La Branche farm. Their freshness runs through the aroma and palate, intertwining with the balsamic character of pine buds. The alpine breath of Neige Noire.

Wild Aosta Valley juniper

Wild Aosta Valley juniper forms the aromatic heart of the gin: a clear, resinous presence that holds the composition together.

The water used in distillation also comes from Mont Blanc. A connection to the region that is part of the process as well as its inspiration.

Between mountain and legend

A peak.
A legend.
A mark on the bottle.

Legend has it that the giant Gargantua left a tooth among the glaciers of Mont Blanc. In the story retold by Neige Noire, that rock guards ancient dark spirits.

It is the Dente del Gigante: a rocky silhouette rising from the snow, also depicted on our bottle. Black and white, once again, in the same landscape.

More than a mountain to admire, it is an image to carry with you. Our connection to Mont Blanc also lives in the fascination of its stories.

05 / The color

Black has
more than one light.

Neige Noire’s color comes from wild Val Ferret blueberries. The technical sheet describes it as a metameric black: its appearance varies with the light, while blue-violet reflections emerge when mixed.

A detail to observe at your own pace, between bottle and glass. Light and mixing offer different ways to discover it.

A process in several stages, where time and distillation build the character of Neige Noire.

90

Days of infusion

Juniper berries are infused in a water and alcohol solution to prepare the base for distillation.

Water-bath distillation

Distillation takes place in a batch water-bath still powered by renewable energy.

Days of maceration

The botanicals macerate in the distilled gin. Another stage in the journey before bottling.

07 / A family story

Two brothers.
Shared roots.

Neige Noire brings together Angelo and Matteo Sarica: roots at the foot of Mont Blanc and an outlook open to the world.

Angelo’s experience in food and beverage meets Matteo’s perspective on technology and international relations. Two different paths that come together in gin.
